Background

Allianz Global Investors were hosting an Investor Forum event. They required a fully responsive microsite and lead generation email campaigns to help market the event. The microsite was to act as a base of information to present the event to, and gather all of the event attendee details directly into Salesforce CRM.

There was a need to create and build awareness of the event using automated email campaigns – to engage with current clients and encourage new ones. The email needed functionality to enable recipients to add the event into their calendar by simply clicking a button. The email had to direct recipients to the microsite. The microsite needed to enable signups and registrations for the event. Both platforms were used to run alongside the build up of the event in order to remind, inform and engage with the client/prospect base before and after the event.

What We Did

Star Digital consulted, presented ideas to design and build the microsite, which held all details of the event including the speakers and the agenda. There were different sessions running throughout the day of the event that visitors were invited to attend. Individuals were able to select the sessions that they required while registering. The registration form was automatically populated with the details of the person who received the email.

Registration was automatically programmed to close at midnight the day before the event.

After somebody had signed up for the event they received a personalised email that detailed their own customised itinerary for the day that incorporated their selections from the sessions. They were also sent a reminder email detailing this the day before the event.

Once the event has taken place, those who attended received an email thanking them for attending. Those who had signed up but did not attend received a different email.


The Results

Allianz Global Investors were able to use the information provided by those who signed-up to send personalised emails to their attendees. Allianz Global Investors were happy with the services Star Digital provided as well as the results they received and the whole Investor Forum event was a huge success.
