Background

Responsive Redesign

Sworders is a market leading auctioneer and focuses exclusively on fine art and antique auctions serving as a gateway to the world. In 2008, they opened a new purpose-built, auction room with 21st century facilities, essential in today’s fast moving and technologically driven marketplace - reaching every corner of the globe, with customers from over 50 countries regularly taking part in their online auctions.

To enhance their auction room and the technologies they offer, they approached Star Digital in 2015 for an update and re-design of their website. They needed a responsive design and a clean, easy to use website utilising visuals to enhance the users’ experience.

What We Did

Our Strategy

Star Digital developed a brand new design with mobile usability at its heart. The design encompassed effective imagery with an easy to use navigation process. The result was a clean, crisp look with a modern twist.

The new site was fully integrated into a new MS Dynamics NAV15 build that allowed users to create web accounts for bidding, setting preferences, requesting condition reports and paying their invoices online.

Star Digital also designed and built responsive emails for regular auction alert email campaigns, and used the Auction Marketer system to deliver one to one transactional emails around bidding and invoicing, ensuring the customer is always kept up to date.

How Well Did We Do?

Sworders not only have a great looking website that functions well they also have a website that delivers genuine functionality for their users.

Looking at the results we can see the following positive results since launch…

Sessions increased by 17% and the number of average pages per session increased by 28%.
