When aromatherapy supply specialists Bay HouseAromatics first met with us, their Magento-built websites were in bad shape. Suffering from slow speeds and pages popping up with 404 errors, they needed a long-term fix before their SEO and user experience took too many hits.
Bringing our digital marketers and developers together (you can see how we helped level up their marketing here), we created a priority list to work through each issue. We developed a strong working relationship with Bay House Aromatics, with regular meetings and reviews.
We performed several audits to discover the root cause of the issues. Bay House Aromatic’s customers were unable to login to their accounts, and their hosting situation meant the site often experienced long periods of downtime.
It quickly became apparent that Bay House Aromatics were operating across two different sites for the same brand. With one solely in use to target the Chinese market, our developers suggested consolidating both websites into a single new one.
To assist with this, our developers migrated them to Nexcess. As a result, Bay House Aromatics now have a fully managed Magento hosting solution that offers them stability. Our team set up development and test environments to find and fix errors promptly.

Leaving no stone unturned, we analysed Bay House Aromatic’s user experience. Using visualisation software Hotjar’s interactive heat maps, we could understand how their customers interacted to iron out any further issues.
Since launching in 2019, we continue to work with Bay House Aromatics, helping them build their empire with our digital marketing expertise. Recent work has included a redesign for the website aimed at further improving their SEO and user experience.
