When we first met motorcycle product specialists Moto Central, they were frustrated with their existing Magento website. Full of issues, their website compromised their conversion rates, stopping the growth of their online presence.
Following our first meeting, the Moto Central team provided a list of urgent issues. Our developers divided each issue into individual tasks using our collaborative Asana workspace. Each task had specific deadlines, and regular meetings were in place to review.
As our working relationship developed, so did our analysis and research. This led to us upgrading their existing Magento website to Magento 2.3 in September 2019.
Our initial work with Moto Central focused on righting the wrongs on their website. Their user experience was being impacted, costing them valuable conversions. Our developers addressed stylistic issues such as hidden text, linking up buttons that weren’t working, and making CTA’s like ‘add to cart’ more visible.
Alongside these changes, the website was made more responsive. A real pain point for customers was using the website on mobile, so our developers focused on fixing several issues such as:
1. The mobile menu is too sensitive when scrolling
2. Adjusting the visibility of searching and filtering products
3. Creating a new layout for the mobile menu
Regular meetings with Moto Central allowed for continuous cycles of analysis and research. As we worked through any issues that popped up, it became clear an upgrade was needed. The decision was made between our developers and Moto Central to move from Magento 1 to Magento 2.3.
The upgrade allowed for increased security and improved efficiencies for everyday tasks using its multi-source inventory features. The project involved plenty of puzzle-solving, from updating a 3rd party theme to programming out page errors. Throughout this process, our bond with Moto Central grew for a smooth-sailing project.
Since going live with the upgrade in September 2019, Moto Central continue to grow from strength to strength.
We’re big believers that the work is never done, as eCommerce is constantly evolving. That’s why our partnership with Moto Central continues today.
Our developers regularly analyse the website’s performance, identifying any pain points customers are experiencing. Recently, this has included improving site speed to optimise their SEO as they look to expand.
