Telling a business’s story drives us. And bringing a brand to life is our livelihood. So when the opportunity arose to work with luxury skincare specialists Aviela, we jumped at the chance to collaborate.
It was clear from our first meeting that Aviela has a story to tell beyond their shea butter skincare products. Inspired by her daughter’s first steps, thanks to the use ofShea Butter, founder and owner Patrica Monney began researching the ingredients and perfecting their all-natural shea butter skincare range using Patricia’s kitchen mixer.
Our task? To support Aviela in telling that story to the world and bringing their brand vision to life for further growth with a new Shopify store.
Integral to our partnership was communication. We regularly caught up with Patricia, getting to grips with Aviela as a business and a brand. Through this, we could strategically analyse its strengths and its weaknesses and better understand Patricia’s vision. With this information, we continuously refined the design to create a consistent on-brand Shopify store.
Aviela had a clear vision for what they wanted their brand to be and how it should look. Come to us with ideas and we will build them. Our expert designers continued working closely with Aviela to create a consistent look-and-feel that put the user at the heart of the shopping experience.
During our analysis and research, it was agreed that the existing Shopify store was extremely slow and unresponsive due to legacy code - that’s code inherited from an older version. The new Shopify store was fully updated and designed to be responsive. In turn, we looked to improve efficiency for Aviela and the overall user experience by integrating several apps including a Royal Mail Delivery Service and email marketing platform Omnisend.
Due to other commitments, the website needed to be easily accessible and editable to maximise efficiency. The website, built using custom Shopify blocks and templated layouts, allows Aviela to build and edit pages as and when without input from developers. This means that when it was time to work on Aviela, no middlemen were slowing down tasks.
Since going live with our Shopify solution in 2021, Aviela have gone from strength-to-strength as a business and brand.
We take great pride in seeing our clients and our projects develop and grow, and our work with Aviela is a win-win situation. They’ve seen fantastic increases in unique visitors (195.25%) and sessions (258.65%). The average session duration has increased by 46.66% whilst bounce rates have decreased. This means they’re not only experiencing more traffic, but they’re also cultivating great customer relationships.
Out of several options that we had, we chose Star Digital and they have been amazing to work with. From the brief that we gave them, they understood straight away what we were looking for as a brand.
