Expanding an empire

When award-winning make-up brand Wunder2 wandered our way, they were just months away from a major global product launch. With their eyes set on expanding their business further globally, they were looking for a multi-lingual solution that was suitable for their target markets across their Canadian, French, German, EU, UK, and US territories that could go live in line with the product launch.

As with all our clients, we spent time getting to know them and got to grips with what it means to be Wunder2. One of their goals is to become the go-to brand for makeup that puts you at ease instead of stressing you out, allowing you to live life confidently. With this in mind, we were tasked with translating this over to their employees, by finding ways to reduce the need for custom website development therefore empowering their in-house marketing team with the foundation to produce powerful marketing campaigns. What happens when you put a brand under pressure?

Different languages, unique journeys

The user experience is always at the heart of any project we put our name to. Through continuous analysis of the key user-journeys visitors would take, we adopted a user-centric approach to optimise conversion opportunities.  

It was integral to Wunder2’s aims that every users visit was unique to them. With this in mind, Shopify-based translation plug-in Langify was integrated enabling their users in Canada to switch between English and French. In addition, translations to their French and German stores were also included. This puts their user at the centre of their storefront, shaping their journey into a special one from the very first click.

In order to reduce their need for continuous development, custom-built landing pages were created that their team could easily use simply by dragging and dropping content. Additionally, market-leading apps such asYotpo and Pure360 were built-in. By taking care of their customer reviews and marketing automation, Wunder2 get back valuable time they can spend continuing to grow their brand globally.

Search engines are always moving the goalposts for ranking factors. Our digital marketing experts utilised SEO audit tool Screaming Frog to obtain and format all redirects for submission to Shopify. By taking these steps, this ensured their new Shopify stores were set up for success.

Supporting strength in numbers

Since going live with six separate storefronts in March2020, Wunder2 have grown from strength to strength. By choosing to switch to Shopify Plus, they’ve been able to adopt a hands-on approach to editing themselves as and when. As they continue to grow, we continue to support them on their journey with any complex functionality issues. Continuing to build their brand globally, they’ve since launched a partnership with Oscar-winning actress Catherine Zeta-Jones.
