The Brief

When Bay House Aromatics first came to Star Digital, they had two geographical sites both in bad shape from an SEO perspective and needed urgent intervention. Bay House also needed an agency to take control of their Magento website and a poorly configured Google Adwords account with a brief to maximise their return on advertising spend (ROAS).

The Approach & Strategy

Star Digital performed a root and branch audit of the two sites, realising that one was only in use to target the Chinese market. We developed a strategy to create one new web site and retire the China facing one. We then embarked on a strategy of 301 redirects to fix a number of issues impacting the clients search engine effectiveness. The client then began working with us on an ongoing strategy of technical SEO and managed Google Adwords campaigns including;

  • Fixing missing meta descriptions
  • Fixed internal broke links
  • Resolved all broken images
  • Added ALT text to all images
  • Implemented rich snippets to encourage click through to the website

The Results (Intitial 3 month period)

  • Achieved an overall conversion rate of 7.15% for our search ad campaigns
  • Overall ROAS for Google ads was 38:1
  • Increased organic position of industry keywords as well as the search visibility of the Bay House brand

We have maintained these results to the extent that the client has asked us to pause Ad campaigns from time to time as they can't cope with demand!
